Easy fabric heart

Fabric hearts are one of my favourite things to make, they are
quick, easy and can be made out of any old fabric scraps lying around the house. They are easy peasy and literally take about 5 minutes!

1. Cut out two, identical hearts out of some pretty fabric. They need to be a reasonable size as they will need to have about 1cm seam allowance and remember that they will also be turned inside out when sewed.

2. Place the two hearts together, with the pattern facing inwards and pin them together.

3. Using a sewing machine, sew the two hearts together with about 1/2 cm seam allowance. Remember to leave a good sized gap on the straight part of the heart as his is where the stuffing will go.

4. Turn the heart inside out, making sure that all the corners have been poked out. Using the gap, fill with stuffing and remember to fill all the corners. Next sew up the gap using a needle and suitably coloured thread, using small, even stitches so that they aren't visible.

5. Finally, sew on a ribbon and cover the join with a button either side (alternatively, you could leave a gap at the top of the heart when machine sewing, turn inside out and sew on the ribbon then) and that's it, finished!

I hope you take a little of your time to do this super quick project, you'll be making hundreds of them before you know it!

My first post

Hello! My first ever post on my blog and I'm so excited! I want this blog to be all about crafts and DIY so I will be posting regular tutorials for super cute and easy things to do for your home, pets and you! I'm a lover of all things beautiful and unique, so I'm sure that there will be something for everyone to have a go at (fingers crossed)

My dog, Buzz will be a regularly appearance, modelling various dog toys, beds and blankets, so watch out! I'll post once a week or maybe more to keep your inner crafter active!
